the work display below is a culmination of 10 week architecture component of the Saturday Program for NYC high school juniors and seniors interested pursuing design or architecture in their undergraduate studies. these courses occurred at The Cooper Union every Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM and the topics covered in our curriculum included many foundational tenets of architectural studies. plan-elevation-perspective drawings, material-form-structure, the chair project, spatial intersections of section planes and projected strings in the built environment, figure-ground representation, freehand drawing techniques, and light + shadow interaction. the student's final project focused on poetry writing and each student's spatial interpretation of one chapter of Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities.
